Fake Police Steal Video Poker Machines
August 03, 2007
In North Texas a different kind of bandit showed up at as many as seven convenience stores and stole their video poker machines - two men passing themselves off as police officers. The criminals, wearing police T-shirts and equipped with handcuffs and radios, claimed the stores were in violation of the law by paying out cash prizes. Police have managed to apprehend one of the villains, whom they describe as “slick”, but wonder how they were planning on offloading the machines, which they estimate to be worth a few thousand dollars each.
